We are Micah and KC. Back at the beginning of 2020 before the COVID pandemic hit really hard, we got engaged and began planning our own wedding and reception. We were so thrilled to be able to have the reception of our dreams! A Country, rustic style reception was what we felt was perfect for us. Soon after we had rented a barn that seemed to fit our desires for dinner, line-dancing, and a wonderful night full of endless fun, businesses began to shut down. Unfortunately, this included our venue. Masks became a requirement, and social distancing was mandatory. Lucky for us, we were still able to have a small gathering and get married, but our dreams of a big reception seemed to be crushed. We had already worked so hard at making a lot of our own decorations, and because of all of the work we had put into them, throwing them out seemed like such a waste.

Quickly KC and I decided that there was no way we were going to let all of our hard work and efforts. We were absolutely determined, now more than ever, to not only use all of our creations, but add to them and make our reception even more memorable. We planned our reception date on our 1 year anniversary and got back to work. Much to our surprise, restrictions for the pandemic were lightened sooner than we expected and we were able to rent the venue that we desired again. We used all of our creations both old and new and had the reception of our dreams.

Soon after, we were asked by a close family member if she could also use our decorations because her and her fiancé were so fond of them. We agreed to allow them, and even did the  setup for her outdoor wedding that was held shortly after ours. As we did both the setup and cleanup for her 2 day wedding event, KC and I received many compliments on our work and were even asked if we were professionals. We politely responded with a “no”, but were kindly told that we should be. Patrons complimented us on how beautiful the decorations were and how great the event looked. The Bride and Groom were also extremely impressed. After finishing the wedding dinner, reception, and talking with others; KC and I made the careful decision to take what we had made, and begin a small business. This is how Arbor Meadows Event and Wedding Decor has come to exist. We are very excited to share our talents with you and hope to expand in the future.

At Arbor Meadows Event and Wedding Decor, our goal is to make your most important events become your greatest memories at a reasonable cost.

Hydrating Barrels. Usually a late fall project but this year has been so hot and busy, these barrels are in need of it earlier! Boiling and steaming on the inside, warm spray on the outside. Once they dry, it’ll be time for a new stain job. First set going, approximately 4+ more sets to go.#whiskeybarrel #winebarrel #arbormeadowsdecor
